How to use this course
This course is designed to be modular. This means you can either follow this course in order or you can skip to sections that interest you.
This course is structured as follows:
- Introduction - Providing you an introduction into the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Standards for Registered Pharmacies
- Standards for Registered Pharmacies - A deep dive into each of the standards and the types of evidence that could fit within it
- The Self Audit Template - An introduction into the template and how to use it
- Conclusion and Further Support - Signposting and thinking points to continue thinking about
It is recommended that you follow the course in order if you are a complete beginner to this information or if you have been tasked to be the 'pharmacy champion' for this type of work.
You can refer back to sections as and when you need to.

Familiarise yourself with the GPhC website (https://www.pharmacyregulation.org/)
It helps enable the GPhC's key functions by:
- Hosting a searchable register of Pharmacies and Pharmacy Professionals
- Housing regulatory guidance and standards
- Facilitating the public to raise concerns for investigation
- Maintaining records of Fitness to Practise decisions
- Holding published inspection reports
